Honeymoon is over. Russia wants Trump to lose the midterms:

Warning: RT is not a trustworthy news-source. Cross-check, double-check, don't take at face-value and handle with care.
https://www.rt.com/usa/

How can we tell what the russian government is thinking? By what their propaganda is trying to do.

* During the 2016 election, RT was all-in with spin and support for Trump.

* From 2017 to pretty much recently, RT was a careful mix of shameless pro-Trump propaganda and shameless anti-Trump propaganda. The purpose was to sow chaos and to feed both sides with hatred. The purpose was to create partisan hatred and political paralysis in the US.

* And now... Now RT has switched to writing articles that shine a bad light on Trump and right-wingers. This is a thing they have never done before, not to this extent. RT has always made a careful distinction: US-government bad, Trump good. But now they are badmouthing Trump.

The reason is clear: RT, and by extension the russian government, want Trump to lose the midterms.

Why?

That is also clear:
If Trump wins the midterms, he will go forward with whatever plans he has. The US-government will work for him, but shit will get done.
If Trump loses the midterms, the Democrats will block and harass Trump. The US-government will get bogged down in chaos and paralysis and nothing will get done.

"Just like we planned it!"

Keep in mind, though, that one of Putin's main goals (per Garry Kasparov & Masha Gessen) is to make truth itself seem unknowable. So they put out conflicting messages in many cases. All part of keeping your opponent off balance, struggling with chaos and discord.

4. A Lot Of People Are Going To Be Very Surprised Next Tuesday When They Vote.....

They won't find Trump's name on the ballot.

Sure Trump will visit 11 city's in the next 7 days. We're going to see his mug everywhere. The cable news shows will talk all about Trump. Trump, Trump, Trump.

But Trump is not on a ballot across the U.S. cause he himself is not running for anything.

Now I read here in this post - that Russia wants Trump to lose the Midterms. People - we are running against the Repugs next Tuesday - not Trump.

We're falling into a Trump Trap here. Trump is running interference for Repugs running for the House and Senate all over the country. He is being a big distraction. He is taking people's minds away from Healthcare and pre-existing conditions. He is taking people's minds off of the failed Repug tax plan. He is taking people's minds off of the Repugs stacking the courts with clones of Kavanaugh. He is being the focus of the Midterms so he can take people's minds off of all those issues that are the real reasons the Dems need to take back the House and Senate and take back power.

What I'm afraid of is that we're making the focus of the Midterms - Trump - and not the issues and not the candidates that are going to shape our government over the next two years.

Please - we need to talk issues. We need to vote based on the issues and those candidates that will be shaping the issues. If we do that - in fact - and win back the House and Senate - we in fact will render Trump - impotent.

But remember - Trump is not on any ballot. He's making himself the focus because he wants us to take our minds off the issues.

We did the same thing in 2016. Yeah - Trump was on the ballot then - but we made that race about personalities - not the issues. We didn't tell the American People much about the real things that were at stake. So they voted for personalities - not issues. And look what that got us.

I'm just worried that we're falling into the same trap this time around.

If Democrats win next week, it will also mean that the US will maybe let down their guard about Russian interference (oh,it's no big deal - the Democrats won after all...) so they can spring even more sophisticated stuff in 2020.
