Last night I dreamed that many of my kids were removed from my classroom

by people in uniforms. I have several hispanic. I also have 4-5 students struggling with their sexuality and those students were removed as well. I have on muslim student and her mom is my substitute who wears the required clothing.

In my dream, I was frantically looking for my children and the armed people would not let me out of my classroom.

I lined them up behind me and told the uniforms that they would leave over my dead body I woke up then so i don't know how it ended, but it was so real.

2. I never had that sort of dream while teaching but I stopped before

he wasn't elected. I did have nightmares about mass shooters coming to my classroom. It made me divide various scenarios just in case. My best plan was to hide behind the door, knock him over the head with a fire extinguisher, tie him up with a jump rope, pour boiling water on his face (I had a microwave in my class) and have my kids run to the rooms next door as I called the office and 911. Since all of the schools I have taught in have doors that lock ON THE OUTSIDE we would be sitting ducks. The principals weren't even aware of the door lock situation until I informed them of this minor detail.

4. I stopped dreaming weeks ago

It's been at least three weeks since I had a typical dream. I've been an avid dreamer most of my life... Memorable lucid dreams since I was four, most nights I remembered dreams for the next thirty five years. Lately? I have waking thought conversations with the conservatives in my life. Different ways to approach them about topics I disagree with them about. My biggest fear upon really waking up is that they don't do the same in the place of dreaming.

This morning I awoke to conversations with teachers and librarians in a rural town setting. I think your work as a teacher is extremely important.
