I know, I know, let's just drum up a concocted skirmish at the Mexican border and pour in thousands upon thousands of US military troops for no rational reason. Except to burnish and polish the war president bona fide of Generalissimo trDump and help his standing for his party in the midterm elections.

A macho war president persona might even boost his rating in the polls a few notches. Besides, one of the perks of being Commander Generalissimo in Chief is you get to exploit the US Military for your personal gains and interests at your whim, your beck, and your call.

I don't see many similarities between Trump and Hitler other than they are both fascists. Trump is an ignorant coward, Hitler was not. I could go on but I really don't want to make Hitler look good in comparison.

Trump reminds me more of a combination of Roman emperors. Mix the aloof care-about-nothing of Tiberius with the madness of Caligula and throw in the cheating limelight seeking of Commodus and you might have something.

and/or Il Duce. He's never going to get it exactly right with any sort of imitation of the fascist autocrats of the past, because they weren't so patently stupid as the orange fuckhead is. But he is trying.

I think the orange idiot is uniquely stupid among the various historical heads of state. I also think part of his appeal to the sinister forces propping him up is that he is exactly as stupid and easily manipulated as he is. Also, his absurd antics give them cover while they continue to steal everything they can from our public coffers.

I do. I work in a hotel/casino. There are times of the year where we see *a lot* of East Asian guests, Japanese in particular. They, as any tour group, bring in good money when they're on holiday. And yes, they frequently move in groups and yes, they take pictures. Traveling to a foreign country, safety in numbers, snapping pictures to show their friends and family back home.

Edit: That whole post is about how it would be nice if Trump blew his own fucking brains out just like his idol Hitler, but that line at the end is what you have a problem with?

the Nazis published propaganda newreels and movies about supposed attacks against Germans in the border area. They even had clips of "refugees" crying about how they were tortured and oppressed.

In Europe, one thing you can be sure of is that the borders are not absolute in dividing ethnic groups. Essentially every border has people of the cross border ethnicity. There are Germans living across the border in Poland, in Czech Republic, in Holland, in Belgium, in France. And each of those countries have people who live across the border in Germany.

Racism and ethnic fear are at the core of "Nationalistic" cults.
