In a Monday morning appearance on Fox News, Kellyanne Conway suggested "anti-religious" late-night comedians fostered an environment for the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting to take place.
"The anti-religiosity in this country that is somehow in vogue and funny to make fun of anybody of faith, to constantly be making fun of people that express religion the late-night comedians, the unfunny people on TV shows it's always anti-religious," Conway said, without naming particular hosts.
"These people were gunned down in their place of worship, as were the people in South Carolina several years ago," Conway continued, referencing the nine people killed at a Charleston church in 2015. "And they were there because they're people of faith, and it's that faith that needs to bring us together."
Conway added: "This is no time to be driving God out of the public square."

(11,744 posts)Or is she just that disgusting and cynical. I mean either way she is disgusting, but is she kooky disgusting or cynically disgusting?
BLACK people were killed in the Charleston church because they were BLACK, not because they were at church. JEWISH people were killed in Pittsburgh because they are JEWISH not because they were attending services.
Why is it that Evangelical Trump supporters are not being gunned down in their churches Kellyanne? BECAUSE right wing extremists are killing minority groups they despise because they are minorities NOT because they are "anti-religious". It is because Trump and all of you idiots who support him, make it okay to hate Jewish people, Black people, LGBT people, and immigrants. Those are the people being gunned down and hurt. They may all be religious, but they aren't being targeted because of it.

(63,221 posts)Her argument is so ridiculous, it is amazing there is anyone stupid enough to buy it. It is completely illogical. I supposed it's the kind of defense you would expect from a crack-head.
Unfortunately, the Trumpers will fall for it. As usual, they won't think it through, they will just fall for it because...Jesus or something.

(82,849 posts)Yeah, people of faith gunned down in their houses of worship. Oddly, though, the perpetrators are folks who don't seem the type to be listening to anti-religious late-night comedians (whatever that's supposed to mean). Instead, the killers themselves showed us exactly who they were listening to, and it wasn't Conan O'Brien or Stephen Colbert. They were listening to conservawhacko conspiracy theorists who had convinced their weak-minded followers that it was the elderly members of a Black church in South Carolina and a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburgh who were responsible for all the hurt and misery in their miserable lives.
Kellyanne should really take advantage of the opportunity to shut up more.
