But I get your broader point. Trump mentioned Harvard in an attempt to reenforce the "Black Dumb, White Smart" mindset of his and DeSantis supporters. But you know what, when they met face to face in debates, Gillum made mincemeat of DeSantis. Even when they talk policy, Gillum comes off as very smart and knowledgeable, while DeSantis comes off as a clown.

I live in one of the reddest parts of the state, NE FL. My wife and I voted today. A woman, Gillum supporter and campaign worker, was out side of the polling place handing out fliers that listed how Democrats should vote on the candidates and amendments if they felt they needed the information. I asked her what she felt about the traffic and which way people might be leaning. She felt about 75-80% were Gillum supporters. There's a lot of restaurant and service type workers in the neighborhood. She had a lot of people that were being subtle in their signals of approval for Gillum as she was wearing a Gillum tee shirt. One older, rather nicely dressed man passed by and joined in our conversation. He said he had several republican friends that were not going to vote for DeSantis but for Gillum. I assumed from his comments he voted for Gillum. He said they felt DeSantis is just not a likeable guy and they feel Gillum is better suited for the job. I asked her where I could get a yard sign. She had a few in her car so now I have it in my front yard. She said she got nasty looks from DeSantis people going and coming out of the polling place.

this last week but my wife and I happily went and voted for him yesterday.

And all the other dems on the ticket. Took my sample ballot in and took my time and made damn sure i hit all the correct bubbles.
