Dodgers' Rich Hill responds to Donald Trump's tweet criticizing Dave Roberts

A day after the Los Angeles Dodgers lost Game 4 of the World Series, starting pitcher Rich Hill denounced President Trump's critical tweet questioning the Dodgers' strategy.

He said Trump should be more concerned with Saturday's shooting rampage at a Pittsburgh synagogue rather than decisions made by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

“There was a mass shooting yesterday," he told reporters. "The focus, in my opinion, of the president is to be on the country, and not on moves that are made in a World Series game.”

Trump was scorned for tweeting about the World Series hours after the synagogue massacre, and he was accused of insensitivity.

platform has incited. All in 1 week, we had:

* MAGABomber try to take out Democrats with pipe bombs
* 2 black ppl murdered in Kroger store in Kentucky for being black (the murderer tried a church 1st, but it was locked up)
* 11 Jewish ppl murdered in Pittsburgh synagogue simply for being Jews

But, naw, he wants to talk about the world series.

They were successful playing in the spring (and would have continued to be), but Trump was the primary force that pushed them to go head to head against the NFL with a fall schedule. That was a matchup they were bound to lose. I've wondered if Trump was a secret agent for the NFL owners, crashing the USFL for them, or if his decision making was truly that bad. He probably didn't care if the league crashed, but hoped that in the end, the Generals would get merged into the NFL.

Either way, he's a backstabber or incompetent - I think both.

makes it so brilliant when so many people famous and otherwise are speaking out truth to Power, and showing they know more about being human and presidential than trump would in a million years.
