My boss died this weekend...

I had worked for him for 28 years, and had co-taught a class with him at NYU for five. He was notable enough in the NYC area that The Onion featured him in a story:

Apparently he died peacefully, but it was completely unexpected. Still trying to process this.

That has to be a tough one considering how long you worked for and with him. In the link you posted, was he the MTA official mentioned in that story?

They used his name because it was handy. Some one in the front office had the story framed and sent to his office.

He must have been a good boss, and a good friend.

No one works for 28 years with someone they can't stand.

My condolences. It will take time for you to heal, but I hope you find peace in your own way and in your own time.
