especially at the end of a long sentence ( not that Trump ever speaks in really long sentences, mostly he does sound bite size phrases, strung together incoherantly )

But the slurring at the end... as he trails off.

dementia is my guess.

Don't know if it's Alzheimer's, like my Mom had, or Frontotemporal Dementia like my Uncle is currently experiencing. But I have no doubt it's something to do with deteriorating cognitive skills.

But this cat has a raging case of Diabetes 2, I'll bet my sweater collection on it.

and I manage it (with some success) with diet and exercise ( mostly diet ).

I don't believe I have any of the cognitive or higher function impairments that I observe ( as a lay person, I'm not a doctor nor do I play one on TeeVee ) in Trump.

What makes you say Type 2 Diabetes?

All from the blood sugar roller coaster. Just a guess.

Tweety got real strange on-air for awhile there, and ended up in the hospital getting his diabetes under control.

Personally, I'm going with dementia. But the man so so visibly unhealthy, and he chooses doctors who medicate him the way he wants to be medicated -- and seem to be dosing themselves as well -- jeez it is scary.

8. A few things

1. I noticed a couple of years ago that he has problems standing for any period of time. As I would watch him in debates it became apparent that he rested all of his body weight on the podium, and left his upper body free to gesture.
It reminded me of a polio-stricken FDR propping himself up, sort of leaning onto the podium.

I thought that he was experiencing a lot of pain. Either neuropathy or his blood was not circulating to his feet and ankle and they had either gone numb or stabbing pain. We really never see him walk confidently. It's always rather ginger and for short distances. If there is a golf cart, he's taking it. I think his feet are in really, really bad shape.

2. I can't believe that anyone who is his age that eats the crap that he eats can get away without Type 2. He doesn't eat healthfully ever, and he has a lot of fat around his belly.
I do think he trusses it up, but the problem with corsetry is that the fat escapes up top or below. You can kind of see this in his golf costume. When he wears his khakis the fat has been pushed down into this pants. It gives him more of a pear shape than an apple shape and probably helps his weak lower back.

3. His vision is not very good, but that can be for any number of reasons. He is afraid of stairs and slopes and holds on to whomever he can or whatever he can to avoid falling.

4. He tries to cover it up, but his color is very, very bad. Like the cruddy underbelly of a sick amphibian.

in my feet (one is worse than the other). In fact this symptom was what I went to the doctors only to find that I have Type 2.

But I don't have any balance problems... nor do I worry about stairs or slopes.

Fortunately I don't experience pain, just a feeling of numbness. I wear diabetic socks that do not cut off circulation.

His diet is bad... so was mine. But I was never overweight. I just ate a lot of carbs and sugars ( trying to cut fat out, oops )

The golf cart thing is something. I just thought he was so out of shape that walking any distance would cause him to be winded.

Still, Diabetes doesn't cause the slurring of words that we often observe with Trump, as far as I know.

And his vocabulary and word choice and incoherent thought process... uncompleted sentences, grasping for even simple words... are more in line with a form of dementia ( which could also be a result of poor diet and lack of exercise )

I think that really does need a non-drunk doctor to find all the many cofactors of that.
