(13,877 posts)And that was only because my dad died of colon cancer. They found polyps...who knows what might have been down the road. I don't think it's regularly done with younger folk.
RIP...it's a terrible way to go. Go get tested...now.

(6,831 posts)My wonderful, funny, kind and generous step-mom, died of Hotchkins, leaving four children and a shattered step-daughter behind. My father was devastated. She was 36. By the time they discovered it, it had metastasized everywhere. She was never sick or even in pain. We never knew until a few months before she left us. You can be very ill and not know.
Get all the screenings you can.
