Plus, the political climate, which Republicans have been creating since the 90's and which he turned up to 11 since his birtherism and ride down the golden escalator, which had resulted in one of his followers trying to bomb elected officials and celebrities on the Democratic side, is a bigger story than his bullshit "proposal" to lower drug prices.

like chemotherapy drugs.

It has nothing to do with Medicare Part D, which pays for our daily maintenance medications.

When Bush proposed Medicare Part D it was basically a way to send Federal dollars to the pharmaceutical industry. It has actually helped a lot of seniors and disabled people have access to medications, but the drug companies made out like bandits. The Democratic proposal has always been to allow the government to negotiate (basically tell the drug companies) the prices for medication to bring the costs down. Trump is even worse than Bush so I expect that his plan is set up to benefit him politically first off, then the drug companies, and then the insurance companies, and basically screw the taxpayers.

People have been trying to get the government to force negotiation of prices and the GOP refuses to pass legislation to do so because. Let. The. Market. Decide. Or have they really forgotten their Zombie Raygunomics that fast.
