I think Ben Carson is the biggest disappointment in my lifetime to me.

As a young adult raising children I used him as a role model for my children. They understand I was trying to do the right thing by them to encourage them to work hard to succeed in the face of challenges. Thankfully they were raised to THINK for themselves and they see him as a big disappointment also and are ashamed of what he has become. They are all really good Democrats who take no BS from anyone. We don't always agree on the way Democrats approach problems but we agree on the objectives. They are all service-oriented, civics-minded, kind young adults. I am so proud of them but pained by the condition of the country they have to live in.

1. Being a good doctor does mean that one is competent in other areas

Doctors are difficult clients and are typically bad business persons. There is a term in the securities industry called DDD or Dumb Doctor Deals. Basically if you have an investment that real investors will not touch,you can sell it to doctors.

Carson is a wonderful doctor but that skill does not translate into other areas.

5. I'm not sure he was such a wonderful doctor.

There was a big deal about him separating some attached twins. They survived. But I saw the follow up and those children did not do well.

2. He's a racist. He thinks he is better than other black folk. Time and time

again he has undermined and attacked black folk. He is a Trump stooge only because Trump shares his racist values.
