Superintendent in western Nebraska district where kangaroo meat was served has resigned

The superintendent of a western Nebraska school district where the cook served kangaroo meat to students has resigned.

School board members in the Potter-Dix Schools on Wednesday accepted the resignation of Superintendent Mike Williams effective June 30, 2019.

Williams said Thursday that the board voted 6-0 Wednesday evening to accept his resignation.

The board also approved giving him notice of the possible cancellation of his contract, he said.
