Did the shooter shoot Steve Scalise at the Republican baseball game because of inciteful language?..

...from Bernie Sanders or other Democrats? He was reportedly a Bernie supporter.

Or did he shoot up the ballgame as a reaction to Republican politics and policies?

Republicans say they do not blame Bernie Sanders for Scalise getting shot and people should not blame Donald Trump for the pipe bombs?

For every action, there is a like reaction?

Democrats have been "reacting" to inflammatory and inciteful language from Donald Trump, mostly as a defense mechanism, in my opinion.

I doubt it....not a huge Bernie fan, but that's absolutely false equivalence to argue as much.

I guess there has to be some sort of cause when they're shooting at you as opposed to a school or movie theater.

1) He was angry and mentally unstable.
2) It was absolutely a direct reaction to Trump himself. Hodgkinson himself said so.

Trump foments violence from all corners. Trump brings out the worst in many. Trump antagonizes those already not stable.
