4. Unfortunately for her, in reality she's the victim of the future...

...and she's not part of it. When you look to the 1950 to find your ideology and want desperately to hang on to that world, this is what happens.

She thinks she's running against the left (or the far left). She's running against Father Time and, like Mother Nature, he ALWAYS wins. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but ALWAYS.

Let it be her time as an elected official come 2020.

5. Collins is trying to go after the fundraiser for her future opponent

saying it was extortion. The thing is she would never get the money no matter what. It was either going to go to her future Democratic opponent or not. Going to be court case over it eventually it seems. Saw a Portland Press Herald article on it. She's spoiled things for herself here in Maine I think though. We'll see what the mood is two years from now though. She's going to have a hard time getting independents and dems to vote her after this, especially with going after the fundraiser too. Republicans are crazy and have been calling her a RINO for years now. She's going to have a tough race if she decides to run again.

6. Well, the very sensible centrists called her a "moderate" and "reasonable Republican" for years...

.....so she must be correct that it's only the far left wackos who have any problem with her after a career or centrism and moderation.

I mean those very reasonable people who put her on that pedestal for all of those years couldn't possibly have been completely full of it or delusional or......gasp......wrong?!?!?!

Besides, using the Manchin math folks on here are so fond of, even if Collins had voted against Kavanaugh then he still would have gotten confirmed with Pence's vote, so.

The moral of the story is that we should stop listening to those who tell us they know how things work, who is worthy of our respect and start judging people for their actions and not through whatever prism we are told we need to look at things.
