There is a guy at my gym, 30s perhaps. He is real tall and thin and incredibly fit, tan....when he walks in folks' eyes pop out of their heads That is because he wears very little. I referred to him as Bandaid Guy. The tiniest of shorts and a bra like top. Nobody talks to him, I think they are afraid of him...Me being me, I approached him last week and asked him what he did...thinking that he had his own fitness deal/trainer....Nope, said he works at the mill.
So today he comes in and I greet him, he stops and tells me he was at the rally yesterday. I freeze..for or against, I ask? Oh, against.....I said I was told it was impossible to get in venue without a ticket..he said they never checked tickets...he had the hat on, but taped over GREAT and wrote MORAL..2 Security men approached him and said it was ok to silently protest. 10 mins later 2 huge 6 foot 7 inch SS came and escorted him out. Never even got to see Trump.
Outside he was interviewed and we saw it on local TV 3x while at the gym. He asked me who paid for the Security guys? I said us, every time fuckface gets on a plane we pay for it all. He said if it was a private hangar and private Security men, they could throw him out. If public, this was wrong....Scott, he has a name...said he is going to call CNN today and I should watch to see if he gets on there...
What do you guys think? Public or Private? Mosinee Central WI Airport....

(12,660 posts)Wouldn't doubt that a couple of local Drumpf supporters are "paying" for extra security at his events to get a "good word in" on some Federal Contract they're trying to either keep or win. The Trump administration seems to have no problems at all with pay to play.
If it's not taxpayer provided security at an event, then it's someone's private goon squad. And neither is legally allowed to keep someone from silently protesting at a public event or on public property.

(9,865 posts)...paying for these rallies? The protection. The flight? Aren't rallies "public"?
This sounds really illegal to me.
