This is far worse than anything Hillary Clinton did with her email server. Will any Republican or conservative give a damn? Or are they all hypocrites?

NEW: Spy agencies have learned China/Russia have intercepted calls Trump makes from his cell. China is using the info to influence US trade policy. Trump has been told he's being monitored, but refuses to stick to secure line. @maggieNYT @AllMattNYT report

(100,081 posts)I'd be willing to bet good odds that Trump has the same code on his phone and probably doesn't know or care about how to change it.

(7,725 posts)Remember the shame heaped on him for forgetting to salute the Marine at the helicopter....that he even came back and did and apologized. My gosh. Untold secrets propelled over the airwaves.
I think he WANTS the Chinese and Russians to hear him so he can fulfill their American Hit list on our economy and public figures. So much easier than actually passing info face to face. Plus, I would assume he thinks it gives him plausible deniability of passing secrets to the enemy, but, it doesn't. He's on notice as to what he's doing and why it's bad.

(11,916 posts)As part of my job, I am required to take cybersecurity training every 6 months. Yesterday I just finished a module on Ethics and Securing Data. The first thing that hit me was that our President and his cabal have violated every single one of the security rules that I am being held to.

(82,849 posts)There, answered that question for you.
The next question will be, what sort of reportage can we expect from the media about this? They couldn't go 10 minutes during the 2016 campaign without a mention of Hillary Clinton's e-mails. It came up in seemingly every story. Even when Sen. Sanders said he was sick of hearing about the e-mails during the primaries, the media kept harping on it. An obsessive-compulsive dog with a bone couldn't have been more preoccupied than the media were about Clinton's private e-mail server. Investigation after investigation was mounted, all of them concluding that nothing untoward had happened to that server (unlike State Department servers, which were hacked). But the questions, they lingered, the clouds, they remained. Speculation had a free run of the media coverage, that while that private e-mail server hadn't been hacked, it could have been hacked, and oh my goodness, what a breach of national security that would have been, maybe, if it had actually happened.
Well, here's a national security breach in real life and in fact. Will the media be on this like they were on Clinton's e-mails? Remember, Hillary Clinton did not compromise national security, but Trump has on many occasions (Remember his private Oval Office meeting early in his administration with Russian spies?). Where are the questions? Why aren't any of those clouds shadowing this administration, like they did Candidate Clinton?
Finding Republican hypocrites is easy; just pick up a list of Republicans in the House and the Senate. What about the media hypocrites?

(22,143 posts)records that should be part of the public record while doing government business (government provided phones). I'd love to know how many traitors and the like he's talked to, as well as others that may have already been indicted by Mueller. I wouldn't put it past him.

(9,670 posts)It was just a talking point, foisted upon us by one of the many think tanks that control GOP rhetoric.
They have NO moral compass. None. They'll do a 180 on any point whatsoever, because they simply don't care about anything but seizing and holding onto control.
And their minions believe every word they say, because they've been trained to disbelieve every word WE say.

(90,773 posts)it's not his fault - they are the ones listening in.
It could very well be deliberate on his part.
He wants them to listen in and intercept his calls.

(15,943 posts)I do. The SS didn't want to allow him to have it, but he was able to keep it. However, I don't believe he conducted government business on it.
Unlike the current pResident.
