...Senator Chris Murphy.
Here's the message I got last night:
With less than two weeks until Election Day, there's literally no time left to waste.
So I'm heading to Hartford for a Get Out The Vote Rally with Ned Lamont, Jahana Hayes, Chris Murphy and Connecticut Democrats like you.
Can I count on you to join me? Here are the details:
WHAT:
Get Out The Vote Rally with Ned Lamont, Chris Murphy, and Jahana Hayes
WHEN:
Friday, October 26th, Doors open at 3PM
WHERE:
Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy
53 Vernon Street
Hartford, CT 06106
Ned Lamont is a man of character and integrity. His proposals to create jobs, attract businesses, raise the minimum wage, and stand up for women make him the right choice to move Connecticut forward.
He fundamentally gets it that America has always been a nation summarized by one word: possibility.
This is a time for big dreams and American possibilities.
This is a time for us to come together and fight for what we believe in. That's why I'll be in Hartford on Friday RSVP to let me know you'll be there.
Thanks, and see you soon.

(12,265 posts)I trust the Secret Service but it still worries me when they go in front of a large crowd now. I pray nothing happens to any of them, this is truly frightening.

(67,782 posts)...that he or Obama or any high-level Democrats got involved in that election, it would have been awkward.

also from the article and infuriating:
Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Sen. Charles Schumer of New York, chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, have pledged support for Lieberman in the primary, but they refused to say whom they would back if Lieberman loses the primary.
How was that not a no brainer?
but damn it if we couldn't do anything because we had Lieberman in the Senate come 2008.

(67,782 posts)Doors opened at 3:00, there was about a 2-hour line (or more) to get in, temperature is 45 degrees. It's now 5:00 and the first speaker (Chris Murphy) is speaking.
That's a LONG day for these old bones.
