Megyn Kelly is off her 9 a.m. show, and may not be back

Kelly will not be hosting her program on Thursday, and she is unlikely to return later, one of the sources said. Friday episodes of her show are usually pre-taped.

"Given the circumstances, Megyn Kelly Today will be on tape the rest of the week," an NBC News spokeswoman said Thursday morning.

Another source said that Kelly's show will be ending, but negotiations about the end date and other details are still underway.

One key question: Whether she will stay with NBC News in some other role. She is scheduled to participate in the network's midterm election night coverage in two weeks.

But she's like a checker piece on a chessboard. Doesn't fit anywhere. We'll see if Andy Card finally throws in the towel on his big gamble.

I watched a bit of the Nightly News report on Kelly's Konservative Komments, and they had a clip of Al Roker talking about the racism. I couldn't help wondering what Lester Holt might have to say. A professional, Holt didn't do or say anything I could detect about his personal feelings, but his memoir of this time and this episode should be interesting reading.

6. It's beyond me why she couldn't have done better at this

I mean, they are paying her a lot of money. She doesn't have FOX to go back to. It seems to me she could have learned how to do a decent (empathetic) interview. All she had to do was be nice - which by its very nature is NOT racist, homophobic, sexist..........

It was his decision to hire her for 23 mil a year and push out Tamron. I hope Tamron Hall, whose show got better ratings, has some satisfaction from this considering how shabbily NBC treated her.
