Twitter Explodes After ‘Gaslighter’ Sarah Sanders Accuses CNN Of Dividing America

“So it was bad when Trump implied it might be fun if someone shot Hillary Clinton.”

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders sparked anger on Wednesday after she accused CNN president Jeff Zucker of dividing America.

Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump called for Americans to “come together in peace and harmony” after authorities seized suspicious packages containing “potential explosive devices” that were sent to CNN and the homes and offices of leading Democrats, including former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

Zucker issued a combative response to Trump’s appeal:

Sanders fired back with a tweet, in which she accused Zucker of ignoring Trump’s call and instead choosing to “attack and divide” the country:

Sanders’ response did not go over well on Twitter, where people accused her of hypocrisy, suggested she send the same message to the president and reminded her of all the times Trump has attempted to incite violence:

Just two hours after an explosive device was mailed to CNN’s headquarters in New York, President Donald Trump’s campaign sent out a fundraising email slamming the network.

The email starts with a quote from CNN’s Jim Acosta who, after being berated by Trump supporters at a Florida rally, told HLN: “It felt like we weren’t in America anymore.”

“It’s time for us to give the media another wake-up call from the American people,” the email, which was signed by Trump campaign advisor and daughter-in-law Lara Trump, said.

The email, obtained by TheWrap, also included a “Media Accountability Survey” with questions like, “Do you trust the mainstream media to put the interests of Americans first?”

6. Donald J. Trump - Consummate Master of the Blame Game!

Perhaps the best there ever was. Which is the exact opposite of what all true leaders should do. Trump and his whole white house staff are shameless and complicit. I don't think that it's that they don't understand what they're doing to inflame and exacerbate political hatred and division - I think they understand perfectly, but choose to do it anyway. Were incidents like these part of Putin's rise to power? I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

and anything associated with them, such as CNN, for the election. No bombs have exploded, fortunately, you might notice, but they do play into that strategy.

15. Sarah Sanders bullshit no longer upsets me

I fully expect her to say something stupid, if not downright vile. She has proven over and over that by working for Trump and by her rationalizations and excuses and denials, and subterfuges that she herself has no moral compass. She can't help, who her father is, none of us get to chose our family, but by golly she is a grown woman and fully capable of reading history and using logic, if only she would. But she decided long ago that anything that positions her Dominionist cult religion into power is just hunkee-dorree. Her religion BTW has very little to do with Christianity, although it masquerades and pretends to be Christianity. Her religion is just another neo-Facsist cult that would enslave us in labor camps, ala The Handmaiden's Tale.

So as dreadful and vile as Sarah Sanders bullshit is, I've come to expect her to continue as before. She creates no unpleasant surprises, just a plethora of unpleasantness. The odds of her seeing the light in this lifetime are about slim and none. Which is a shame. There's a lot that I could say to Sarah Sanders to enlighten her, but she can't, won't hear it.
