5. 74%,.. that there is a big piece of pie.

Should have made the 74% section colored in bright red - (delineating Rethug/Right Wingers) and the 2% the blue color - to signify Left Wingers.

Especially when the pie chart is on top of a blue background. The blue 74% almost disappears into the background blue - where as if it was red it would stand out 1,000 fold and better excite the rods and cones of the retina.

Constructive criticism: Dems suck at framing the political conversation - both audio and visual. The blue should be red - and the red should have been blue. Both for reasons of cognitive consonance and a more visually stimulating and dramatic pie chart - to deliver and send home this important message of who the real perpetrators and culprits of violence in American society are.

the graph was composited by someone who used those numbers. I don't think you can pin the color scheme for this graph on the ADL. There is another version of this graph on the Greatest Page that might be more to your liking...

11. A bomb that doesn't explode isn't real, right?

Just as a rape isn't real with no penetration.
Election tampering isn't real if it doesn't affect the outcome.

The right wing is big on "no harm no foul"...
Unless you're an immigrant or a minority or a Democrat, then you're guilty whether a thing happened or not.

There are plenty of Liberals who believe in the right to bear arms. Just not the same arms right-wingers covet. I own a rifle and a shotgun (left over from youthful hunting days). The rifle is used for plinking cans...target practice only. But in a pinch.......

12. The ADL may be, well, biased as one might infer by the data in the chart..

..but that's an ad hominem argument.

Here is their mission statement:

ADL is the world’s leading anti-hate organization. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of anti-Semitism and bigotry, its timeless mission is to protect the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias education, and fighting hate online, ADL is the first call when acts of anti-Semitism occur. ADL’s ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.

This may be the reason for singling out Islamo-fascists in the chart above. There is a much more granular chart displaying what the ADL classifies as acts by Right-wing extremists on the linked page.

Please note: the data in the chart I linked to is from 1993-2017, so it is not directly comparable, yet instructive in a different manner.

https://www.adl.org/education/resources/reports/dark-constant-rage-25-years-of-right-wing-terrorism-in-united-states

I draw no conclusions as the evidence is incomplete to do so. I used to follow the findings of the ADL much more closely, but something happened in November of 2016, and its impact now takes up most of my available time to do other stuff.

13. Thanks! This was perfect timing for me personally:

I was talking to my brother who considers himself a moderate. He voted for Hillary and for Obama twice. But, he often votes republican for house or senate.

He gave me the "both sides" argument last night regarding the bombs. I didn't have a quick answer.

We are Jewish so the ADL is a perfect source compared to SPLC for my brother in particular. I emailed him the graph plus a these first paragraphs from the ADL's website:

New York, NY, January 17, 2018… The number of white supremacist murders in the United States more than doubled in 2017 compared to the previous year, far surpassing murders committed by domestic Islamic extremists and making 2017 the fifth deadliest year on record for extremist violence since 1970.

In its annual assessment of extremist-related killings, the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism found white supremacists and other far-right extremists were responsible for 59 percent of all extremist-related fatalities in the U.S. in 2017, up dramatically from 20 percent in 2016.

https://www.adl.org/news/press-releases/adl-report-white-supremacist-murders-more-than-doubled-in-2017

Thanks so much for this info!!
