but before then most of their time was spent casting doubt on the most obvious motivation: to harm or silence Trump's critics.

They spoke of how inept the bomb was. Guessed it might be a hoax. Thought it suspicious that it wiped the caravan story which was to Trump's political advantage from the front page. &c. &c.

Then when a retired NYPD detective got on and straight out and suggested the bomb was planted by the other side to gin up hatred against Trump. They let him go on like this for several minutes, then after an interim during which they apparently told to stop political speculation or even political talk while covering this unfolding story, they came back to him and they closed him down when he started saying that the Republicans ("we" ) are winning so it must have been----. And he was cut off.

The producers have these jokers on a short leash.
