These bombs are wierd!

Seven bombs now but none of the exploded.
The one sent to CNN had a clock attached but that particular clock has no alarm so it was of no use as a trigger.
Using a clock to set off a mail bomb is pretty strange anyway because you never know where it will be when is goes off.
They are reported to be actual explosive devices so weren't meant to be a hoax but none worked.

Is it just an exceptionally incompetent bomber?
Who would have the knowledge and ability to gather the materials and build these things but not be able to make even one of them work?

I hope the FBI gets this guy quickly.
I hear that if he licked the stamps they can determine his DNA code even if he built the things with gloves on.

I guess we need to wait for the FBI analysis to see if any of them were really functional.

Bomb squads use a small explosive of their own to detonate suspicious packages

law enforcement detonating it it doesn't mean 'we made it go off' it means 'we blew it up with our own bomb'. It still easily could have been non-functional

packages that had nothing in them but a mail order or someone's backpack that they forgot and left in a public place.
