Your work is done here. Time to retire to Argentina.

Jeff Klinkenberg, a retired reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, posted this righteous rant on his Facebook page.

Too late, President Trump, to say this is the time to unite. You wrote this script for this division and insanity. For the last few years you have done everything in your power to divide us and to foment hatred. You told outrageous lies about Obama, suggesting he was not an American and had even tapped your phone. You lied about Hillary Clinton, that it was she and not you and your cronies in league with the Russians to throw the election. In fact, you led drooling haters in the "Lock her up" cheers. You hate immigrants, and told us that most of them were criminals and rapists. You even separated Mexican immigrant parents from their children and put those kids in jail. You made excuses for the Neo-Nazis responsible for one death in Charlottesville that has given racists the courage to come out of the sewers and closets.

While I'm thinking of it, you threw hatred at the African-American citizens -- and millions of Americans of all races -- who believe that "black lives matter." Nineteen women accused you of sexual harassment and rape, and you paid off two women with whom you had sexual relations when your wife was giving birth to one of your children. You brag that you are so important that you can grab the genitals of any woman. Then you turn around and even mock women who have been traumatized by sexual harassment and rape.

You have made enemies out of our friends and friends out of our enemies. You took the improving economy Obama handed you and are in the process of breaking it. Your radical friends in the Republican Party passed a huge tax cut that will make you and other Libertarians even wealthier, but you have been silent on Republican plans to pay for that tax cut by taking the money from Social Security, Medicare and Medicare. Meanwhile, you are also willing to remove the safety net of decent health insurance away from the middle and lower class.

You use easily documented lies to attack or dismiss the work of scientists, physicians, historians and artists.

You hate the free press, the print reporters and broadcast journalists who have carefully been gathering facts and records about your personal and public life. You call the press -- but not the propaganda arm of Fox -- the enemies of the people. You say they are traitors. You encourage your followers to hate the truth tellers and to even commit violence against them at your frightening rallies.

Lately you have even been lying about the frightened folks who are marching out of Central America toward the relative safety of Mexico. You blame the independent Holocaust survivor George Soros and the Democrats for that march. Like all of your conspiracy theories there are no facts to back up your words.

And now it looks like at least one of your followers is planting bombs at the residences of George Soros, the Obamas, the Clintons and Democrat Maxine Waters of California. John Brennan got a bomb too. Someone planted a bomb at the cable news network you and your followers hate the most, CNN.

Nobody has worked harder at dividing and breaking the United States of America than you, President Trump.

50 years of toxic rhetoric and policy.

I know the anti-Trump Republicans want desperately to believe the pre-Trump Republican Party bears no responsibility and was the party of anti-slavery Whigs or that of Lincoln, but that's complete and utter bullshit.

His columns about Florida’s natural beauty contributed to good protection for the Everglades and waterways for years, and were soulfully written and appealing to people like me who were canoeing and hiking and birdwatching in that jewel of a state.
