Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just watched the MI Governor's Debate. What a trainwreck for Schuette.
Whitmer was poised, had facts at her fingertips, she looked like a Governor. Schuette, on the other hand, didn't. He had 4 lame phrases he used: "Lost Decade" (When Jennifer Granholm was governor during the Bush/Cheney economic meltdown. He neglected to mention that--apparently Granholm caused it) "Taxes" "Extreme" and "Jobs." He used them interchangeably, even when they made no sense. He answered a question about bringing back civility to our society by launching an attack on Whitmer, calling her "extreme" and her policies dangerous for Michigan, accusing her Lt.Governor of supporting Hamas, etc. Yeah, way to bring civility back, Bill. Unbelievable. Well, I guess not unbelievable, but good God.
In conclusion, the debate was 60 minutes of Bill Schuette doing this:

(44 posts)It was Schutte (Atty. Gen.) that let his boss Dick Snyder off the hook for the poisoning of Flint water. Yet somehow Snyder avoids prosecution and blame. Another shining example of corrupt republican government or perhaps just an intended attack on a minority city...hmmm
