Why does Brian Kemp put me in mind of the guy at the country club . . . . .

. . . . . who refers to the black waiter as a "nigra"? The guy who goes to the country club for Sunday brunch after church, with the smoky smell of a cross burning on his shoes? The guy who can never recall, or never knew, "the "help's" last names? The guy who still uses only the old "white" toilets?

Why does he put me in mind of that guy?

He reminds me of a Kavanaugh with a wad of tobacco in his mouth.

One of the places I took visitors (I am from CT, close in to NYC) was the local zoo where a public toilet had the word "Colored" weakly whitewashed on the "extra" men's and women's toilets.

It wasn't all that long ago, was it?
