Losing the House will become a given, Anything short of 64 House seats will be defined as a tRump success because he went out and rallied the base.

(11,646 posts)The horse race is in full stride. They couldn't stop talking about the "Brett Bounce." (It's so heartwarming to use the attempted rapist's first name to rally the deplorables). Oh and then there's wonderful Peggy Noonan taking about how the blue wave has dissipated and our own Katy Tur explaining that it feels just like 2016 when dems were supposed to win...

(10,721 posts)The false equivalencies, the horse race pushing, the acceptance of all statements as equally valid opinions (as if there are no facts and there are no lies), the fact that the media is owned and operated by just a handful of giant corporations, infotainment as opposed to news...this is all so obvious and infuriating.
Republicans have been pushing the "liberal media" lie for decades, and it's been hugely effective. It has infected the public consciousness. And I suspect it has led to much of the above, as media members go out of their way to avoid being accused of having a bias even if it's just a bias for the truth.
Democrats need to use the media to point out the numerous flaws in the media. Much more so than they have. At the very least, talk about the "liberal media" lie and why it's a lie. We can't just dismiss or ignore Republican nonsense. That nonsense is highly effective.
