We will know exactly where we stand.
If Democrats do not win the House or Senate, God forbid, then we would need to re-evaluate exactly where we are? There are no guarantees.
Everybody knows this is a possibility.
But there will be no more hiding in purgatory, waiting for the next shoe to drop. In a worst-case scenario, we would need a strategy to go forward. We would have little choice but to wait on Mueller's investigation report or wait on the Presidential election in two more years. That seems like an impossible demand.
Naturally, we do not wish to think of such an unpleasant thought. We can hope for, and work for, a victory on November 6th so we can breathe again, even if for a short spell.
The alternative is mind-numbing. We have to change our government.

(35,081 posts)They think they were selected by God, they think the "end times" are nigh and they need to lead the charge to send the unwashed to die against Gog and Magog, they think every setback is something sent from George Soros and the "deep state", etc.
It's a veritable soup of insanity... can we unmake soup?
We're going to need a full blown De-rightwingification of this country.

But then I wasn't glad at all, but mad instead.
