Trump "Loves" Strongman Leaders.

Because he's not one and would dearly like to be. He idolizes Putin, is "in love" with Kim Jong Un, and does sword dances at the feet of the Saudi leaders. He wants desperately to be able to do as they do, but is unable to do that. He'd love to make his harshest critics "disappear" as Putin, Kim, and the Saudis have done. That idea appeals to him mightily.

So far, at least, he has not acted on those impulses. He wants to, but believes he cannot. I wonder where the point is when he decides to emulate his idols. He would, if he could, I have no doubt. He encourages those who threaten people. He wishes he were a "strongman" leader.

Let's hope he remains a "weakman" leader. That's my daily hope. But, I recognize that he's just an order away from abandoning that in favor of copycatting his heroes. He wants so badly to join their club that he can taste it, even over the savory Big Mac ooze.

I missed him saying that. Still, Trump's trying his hardest to make it the kind of country where he can do it. We need to stop him from doing that.

It was strange that he picked Betsy DeVos a Education Secretary. It might makes sense because her brother is Eric Prince, former owner of Blackwater, a company of mercenaries who worked for the government during the Bush Administration. They provided security for Congressmen traveling in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Eric Prince was also in secret meeting during the Trump Presidential campaign and has promoted the idea of privatizing war.

Eric Prince works in the shadows so there’s no reason to have him on our radar. In 2017 he met in closed door sessions with members of the House Intelligence Committee.

We are only seeing the top of the iceberg. We can count on that.
