Early voting started yesterday in North Carolina!

One-stop, no excuse early voting started in NC yesterday, and by all accounts, turnout was strong! According to a vote-tracker website, there were almost 133,000 votes cast on Wednesday! To compare, in the 2016 Presidential election, there were 166,000 on the first day! I think the wave is building!

In the last midterm year, 2014, there were 121,000 votes cast on the first day. I hope we here in the Tar Heel State keep the momentum going!

I called my mom to talk yesterday and asked her if they were planning on voting. She told me they both got their ballots in the mail, voted straight Democratic and sent them back.
