Those of you who did then, do you still defend Assange and Wikileaks?

In the upper right corner of the DU window, for subscribers, is a place to click for Advanced Search. All one need do is enter the term Wikileaks and set a date range. 2014 to 2016 should be a pretty good one to try. See what comes up. Read a few threads.

Some posters took pains to defend Assange. Some say he was framed by Sweden. Many appeared to see him and Wikileaks as the forces of good. Man on a mission, exposing the machine. Fighting oligarchs and big bidniss. Slapping the corporatists.

I'm curious.

I'm amazed so many people were taken in, really. (I feel the same about Glenn Greenwald, who still has defenders.)
