Nothing sure, of course. But it's a good sign that Feinstein came out with this.

(3,784 posts)Well, don't FORGET about it, but just realize that the best way to get Kavanaugh off the bench (and as far as I'm concerned, it's a slam dunk), is the PERJURY. I would go after the perjury much harder, as it is easier to prove and more recent in time (and it doesn't lend itself to a "she's making it up" defense, because it's all right there on tape).

(42,770 posts)without asking to be part of the scope and witness development. that was her one chance to actually have a remote chance to have some control. Before everyone says - the Dems did all they could do....I say - we could have demanded to be a part. There were MILLIONS of people watching at that moment - it was when we had our best shot.

(7,947 posts)They keep changing the rules, so it's hard to keep up and know what the right thing to do is.
Feinstein was obviously blindsided by Flake's sudden FBI request. (Which now seems, shall we say, less than sincere.) Can't blame her for not knowing ahead of time all the problems.
Now it sounds like it might have been the goP or White house that leaked about Ford's letter.
No one is canny enough to figure out all the angles of people who are just so willing to break every rule, including common sense.
I am in despair. How can this widely-despised man keep beating us?
I don't want to think that evil is stronger than good, that hate is stronger than love, that destruction is stronger than creativity... but what are we supposed to conclude?

(42,770 posts)to see the fraud in the offer to do an investigation. But she witnessed them first hand. I immediately thought it was fishy for one reason only....Tiny and Lindsay we're too calm and not angry about it. Then, I heard Phil Mudd saying something similar and he was FBI branch head.
But once the shock of it all wore off ..the ex-FBI I heard, including Mudd, sounded optimistic and confident they could rise to the challenge. I remember one who talked about how they were sure that the FBI would pick Dr. Ford up, and drive her around all the neighborhoods where all those people lived to spur memory. As it turns out, they didn't even talk to her.
GOP seems to have win the PR game on all if it which makes me so angry.
