One answer questions as to why it was legalized. One giving tips on what to avoid and what to look for. Very interesting.
Fingers crossed Proposal 18-1 passes and Michigan will be there, too.

(27,817 posts)If it does pass, I hope that what happened to northern Washington doesn't happen in Michigan. You get about 50 miles north of Seattle and the landscape is absolutely marred with huge blinking cannabis signs, and the small town we drive through (Mt. Vernon) has pot shops everywhere (I voted for legalization in Washington, to be clear). I was completely unprepared for the destruction of the landscape, and the last couple of times I've been Up North in Michigan, I notice the blessed absence of these eyesores.
I guess I hope it passes in Michigan, but they have some restrictions on the billboards and look of the stores.

(27,817 posts)I guess it's an unintended consequence, and one that I hope the government of Michigan is prepared for.

It will piss off Indiana and I am happy for that. Indiana is too damn Repuke. Fuck em. Indiana liberals, cmon up and get some!
I fully expect Ohio to vote on legalization in 2020 when they see all of the revenue they are losing by Ohioans coming up to Michigan for MJ.
