Keith Ellison (D-MN) - Does accuser Karen Monahan want him to lose?

Last edited Wed Oct 17, 2018, 07:55 AM - Edit history (5)

Keith Ellison is running for MN Attorney General.

Ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan claims that after they broke up in 2016, he shouted at her to move out of his house and tried unsuccessfully to pull her out of bed by her feet.

The MN Democratic Party (Democratic-Farmer-Labor) recently paid for an investigation. It concluded her accusation was "unsubstantiated" since she says she has a video but wouldn't show it to the investigator, despite assurances of privacy.

Monahan made contradictory statements to the investigator on why she went public with her accusation.

"Mr. Ellison’s act of placing his name in the race was a triggering point for her as it 'screamed entitlement.'”

vs.

"Ms. Monahan told me she does not believe her allegations against Mr. Ellison disqualify him from being Attorney General and she 'is okay with him winning.'”

The above quotes were written by attorney Susan Ellingstad in her investigation report for the DFL (MN's Democratic Party).

I think Monahan's goal is to make Keith Ellison (D) lose the race for MN AG, and that she was being honest in the top statement and dishonest in the bottom statement.

Monahan is motivated by jealousy and having recently become a Republican:
