9. I must not have watched the same debate. I live

In TX. I donated and volunteer for Beto here. Except for a couple of bright moments....Cruz ate him up. Cruz is by far the best at debating and has expert-level recall. There is zero way to go one on one with that force. The only way Beto could succeed would be to completely ignore him... completely...and just brush him off as a "fast talking liar who is the most hated in the Senate" and just talk about a positive thing. I was so hoping for this to be a home run. IMHO, he should have had one line zingers and then free-formed with positivity.

12. Yeah. I wasn't happy with some of Beto's responses

1) NO ONE IS PRO-ABORTION! Quit letting them say that. Being PRO-CHOICE means believing that women have the capacity to make decisions about their health, family and children BY THEMSELVES, without interference of the state.

2) We will be spending over $30 Trillion on healthcare over the next 10 years ANYWAY. Our current system doesn't cover everyone and causes many people WITH insurance to forgo care and medications because of high co-pays and deductibles. Medicare for all would COVER EVERYONE.

3) Saying that growth will pay for tax cuts for the rich is a LIE.

responses like you just did? I don't know why he didn't take a couple days off and review the major points and come up with some legitimate comebacks.

I think he is not slick and his brain doesn't go there. But millions from people who have counted on him have poured in from out of state. Someone please send some people help!

I am hoping this is just an off night. If Thursday goes as planned and CNN does his town hall without Cruz...he could turn this around. But cruz's negative Facebook campaign seriously took a toll.

Beto KNOWS abortion will come up. He needs to OWN IT.

He knows Cruz will talk about the Dems wanting to raise taxes. Beto needs to come back, HARD, about how tax cuts for the wealthy are blowing up the deficit. He needs to do his research. Reagan cut taxes and added to the national debt - BIGLY. Clinton raised taxes, the economy improved and cut the debt.

He needs to point out that regulations ARE NOT job killers.
