I Had A Great Day Today!

I went to a church in East St. Louis, IL, and saw Con. John Lewis at a GOTV rally for Brendan Kelly. And then I went to the courthouse and voted.

7. Yeah, It Was Surreal

We got there early and were seated right behind the VIP's and then Rep. Lewis recounted several stories from the early days of the civil rights movement that I hadn't heard before. Just an incredible day.

9. Fantastic ! I had the privilege to "meet" Rep Lewis...

.... in DC. I went to a photo exhibit / sale, and one vendor specialized in historic civil rights era photos. While looking around, in walks Rep Lewis with entourage. The exhibitor showed him around the collection and asked questions and solicited stories. Those of us who happened to be in the gallery at the time got to look over their shoulders and listen in.

(Just had to brag. Couldn't help myself. )
