General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsYou gotta read The Fifth Risk by Michael Lewis. The nonfiction 1984.
The book is about how the government manages risk to us, the citizens, through 3 agencies we know little about. Agriculture, Energy and Commerce and what Trump has done to ruin them.
It is a short read and and yes, it will piss you off but it will also inform you about what those three agencies do that i, for one, had no idea about. Important shit that keeps us safe.
It will give you an appreciation for unsung government workers and their dedication to public service.

(15,412 posts)this isn't unnamed sources, it reminds me of Imperial Life in the Emerald City (different stupid GOP President, same incompetence).

(989 posts)I think that Trump voters should be tied to a chair and forced to listen to the audio book.

(15,412 posts)I listened on audio and it was still on my "machine". I started listening again and it is the scariest book about Trump out there. Mostly because he doesn't talk so much about individual Trump acts but rather how scary awful it is to have an incompetent manager and talks about all the horrible things that could happen and how a bad manager can screw them up.
You connect the dots and you can't sleep at night. We gotta pray nothing "big" happens on his watch. It's gonna be bad enough digging out from under his shit as it is.
