She never wanders into the fray frivolously. And letting others speak is great protection.

But media won’t play a five minute video. That’s up to us.

5. I hope she does. I would have been for her in 2016 had she run.

In retrospect, it was brilliant of her to let that hang out there for the seven years since the lame attacks were started by Scott Brown. It let the Republicans think that that incredibly lame accusation was the way to characterize and attack her. It also allows this piece to not just answer that attack, but to restate --in her own frame -- her own story.

Her story of a woman who pretty much single handedly went from a daughter of a lower middle class family in Oklahoma to an acclaimed law school professor is powerful. Note that that - great as it is - does not tell her WHOLE narrative. There was also the fact that she was the main force behind the Consumer Bureau - that Trump has tried to kill, but which did enough in the Obama years to be defended as an agengy that defended PEOPLE who were mistreated by large businesses.

Not to mention, she could heal many fissures in the Democratic party - as she is well liked by both many (not all in either case) of the Sanders and Clinton supporters. For anyone, longing for a first woman as President, she is a wonderful choice. She has lived a very credible life as a strong woman. Her success on the Consumer Bureau was all done by advocating with great intelligence and skill for the features needed to make it have real impact.
