Elizabeth Warren releases DNA test with 'strong evidence' of Native American ancestry
(CNN)Sen. Elizabeth Warren has released the results of a DNA analysis showing she has distant Native American ancestry, in an apparent attempt to pre-empt further questions and attacks should she run for president in 2020
"Now, the President likes to call my mom a liar," Warren asks him. "What do the facts say?"
Bustamante responds, "The facts suggest that you absolutely have a Native American ancestor in your pedigree." Warren is shown nodding
Warren concludes in the video that the issue "isn't just about casual racism," but part of a pattern of "discrimination, neglect and violence" that Native communities have faced "for generations."
"And Trump can say whatever he wants about me," she adds. "But mocking Native Americans or any group in order to try to get at me that's not what America stands

Thus damaging another industry.

(12,660 posts)Because otherwise, how else could they explain all those "solid, Christian WASPs" who have tested and found they have Jewish ancestry or (gasp) Black or Hispanic ancestry?
There must be a mistake. They've been told all their lives that they're descended from either one of the Good sons of Noah, or Aryan Vikings, or some other such blonde, blue-eyed, lily-white Uber-mensch background, after all...

(37 posts)It hardly surprises that Native America's values are held in contempt by the poster child for arrested development who currently occupies the Oval Office.
Though the 250-plus tribes who originally occupied the U.S. were a diverse lot, certain core virtues seem to have been universally revered among them: Courage, truthfulness, charity and respect.
Indians would laugh loudly at someone who ran from battle in his youth but later bragged to be the greatest warrior.
A warrior might kill an enemy, but he would never gain an advantage over that adversary by telling a lie. In so offending the spirit of truth he would cease to walk in the light. He would risk spending his afterlife stumbling in the darkness of separation from the Creator Spirit.
Native Americans revered charity in reality, not as a tax fraud. European visitors noted that America's great leaders were the poorest in their group, because they gave away everything to poorer neighbors, following the admonition of Jesus to the rich man in Mark 10, though they'd not yet read it.
Indians knew that ridiculing another's ancestry, of which that person had no control, only demeaned the ridiculous little boy doing the insulting.
