Was in the Berkshires for the weekend. Candy store was selling dwindling supply of NECCO Sky Bars for $6 each. The current story is that nobody knows when someone might take over their product line, but it's not expected before 2020...

(21,849 posts)Was $6 the cost to you to buy them or were they paying you $6 to take a NECCO?
I guess you can tell that I'm not a fan of NECCO.

(5,299 posts)Back when I travelled for work, I would pick them up for my friends (I even went to the NECCO factory on one trip to Boston; was surprised they didn't have a retail shop).
Being from California, I'd never heard of them until my friends asked me to pick them up. So, I tried one once. Once. Having grown up on See's Candies, I found Sky-Bars to be adequate-at-best chocolate with so-so fillings.
With Sky-Bars, as with Moon Pie, the main attraction is nostalgia.
