The hammer and sickle should be the new symbol of the Republican Party.

Why? Because everything they see looks like a nail and they want to hammer it down. Or they want to cut it to death with a huge sickle.

It would never cross their minds that there is another way to save Social Security or Medicare. They would never think of asking the wealthiest who have done so well for the last two or three decades to pay a little more?

They can only think of asking the elderly or the poor or the young to sacrifice. They want to take their sickle and cut a wide swath through every program that might help the people of this country. Or they want to take their hammer and act as if the poor and elderly are nothing more than nails, to be hammered to the ground.

When it comes to doing what is best for our society, they are a Party with blinders. They can only see one solution to every problem. We all look like nails to them.

5. The GOP Believes That ALL Domestic Programs Should Be Handled By Local Churches.

They are intent on having the churches handle ALL domestic programs the government now handles. They believe in the late 19th century model where churches fed, clothed, and ministered to the poor, the sick and the disabled. The churches will get block grants to maintain and run health clinics. They believe all schools should be run by your local church or by a private business. People who cannot afford it are just plain out of luck. They believe in people selling apples or pencils on the streets. These are the new small businesses they are talking about.

The GOP believes that taxes pay only for the military and that is it. And we know they support contracting out all the government agencies to corporations.

We have to get it into our heads that they are determined to force their vision of the US on the rest of us no matter what. And they will use the voting system to rig their way in. It is about totalitarian GOP rule supported by corporations. They plan a coup and not an election.
