Do you think the people in the Florida panhandle, who are mostly Republicans, may finally now believe in climate change??! Do you think that maybe now they can get behind Democrats at least in this regard?? Do you think they can finally see that the Republicans in office, who they love so much, are responsible for their current suffering??!

(14,494 posts)Republicans live in a disinformation bubble where all sorts of lies will be propagated and not surprisingly - a few conspiracy theories. And, it's fueled by billions of corporate money poured into media, deceptive advertising, lobbying and politician's pockets.
It's the same with hard right-wingers across the planet. Only when cities like Miami are 90% under water, civil wars start over mass immigration and millions are starving from wide-spread drought will these people wake up and want to learn, understand and take action.
Not likely to happen in this current generation of Repugs......
