My dad is a gun owner (not a gun nut, he’s for fairly strict gun control) and he calls guys like that “slobs”.

usually there is no one watching you at gun range.
But regardless, it is really asinine to point a gun at
any other person. There could be a bullet left in the
magazine and accidents do happen. Guns are not a
toy! I wish everyone was required to have a license
to own a gun, with periodic exams for renewals just
like driver's license.

now Kansas has no requirement. Anyone over 21 can CC even if they have never touched a gun. Makes no sense.

I am always nervous at gun ranges because there are all these strangers with guns and plenty of ammo, and they don't check anyone's background. I usually go with my adult daughter, and we stay alert.

Luckily we don't hear many shootouts at gun ranges.

To purchase a firearm you have to take a safety test every 5 years. To pick up a fire arm you have to have a safety lock with a receipt and you have to demonstrate safe handling of the firearm. Mainly for handguns though. Should be for long arms too in my opinion. Those guys should be put on a list and be banned from owning or possessing, at least until they demonstrate fully that they understand the stupidity of their behavior.

There are some rules which I disagree with, but overall, California is not the ogre on gun ownership that the red states make it out to be.

Guns are not toys, they are deadly weapons and these fucking morons shouldn't be anywhere near a firearm.

First thing I learned in the Army when handling a firearm, always assume it is loaded and never, ever, point a firearm at anyone you aren't planning to destroy.
