David Dayen @ddayenVia email, @SenWarren has explained why John Kelly decided to call her "an impolite arrogant woman"
more from MoJo::
Mitch McConnell cant shut me upand neither can John Kelly, she wrote in a fundraising email to supporters on Thursday night, telling her version of an encounter with Kelly last year, after he had repeatedly dodged her calls and emails:Blah blah blah. Thats all he had to say when he was called out for breaking the law and destroying lives. And I dont know about John Kelly but there are some men who can only hear blah blah blah whenever a womans talking. One of his aides wrote back, Too bad Senate Majority Leader McConnell couldnt order her to be quiet again!
Clever. Well, Mitch McConnell cant shut me up and neither can John Kelly. (He cant even get Donald Trump off Twitter, and as far as I can tell, that was his main job description when he took on the role of White House Chief of Staff).

(8,200 posts)I shuddered when I saw so many generals in the administration. Kelly is typical, a arrogant self righteous supreme being. He is a prime example that power far too often corrupts They begin to think that they are authorities on every aspect of life. When in reality they are the product of a radical educational system that ingrains unquestioned obedience. The most ruthless raise to power and believe themselves to be infallible. Virtually no inferior officer who aspires to higher ranks dares to question their authority. It is a closed society that only the life timers can appreciate. It is not at all surprising that this was his reaction to some inferior being and especially some silly women who would think that they were anything other than peons.

(22,130 posts)rump rally. Disgusting and a poor example of leadership and qualities that any decent man or woman would have. Look at their disgusting so called commander in chief. A spoiled man child/baby brat...I guess it takes one to know one.
And Warren is a respected Senator. Even worse.
Generals have long lost their favor w/ me ... this is my opinion only, but first of all, generals have worked in military services for so long that I don't think they know how to live on the outside. The 'outside' that has long paid for everything that they've lived off of, their homes, their healthcare, their food, insurance, everything. So I don't have any respect being that I had to work my ass off for every one of these things, and still do. I alone. No one else. And then I see these so called generals act this way.
Don't get me wrong...I've worked w/, grew up w/, many members of the services and find them totally fine, upstanding, wonderful examples of the person in uniform. It is just that rump seemed to find the worse of them somehow.

(9,865 posts)That is, he knew just what he was doing, knew he was lying to her. He's simply a racist autocrat and wanted to be unquestioned. Let alone by a woman.
It was all purpsoeful. He was probably looking at the very same email list she was looking at even as he denied it happened. Directed his staff to blow her off.

This could help raise his stature in Trump's eyes.
