What's their game- are they trying to bait Ginsburg or Breyer into announcing their retirement in 2020? Are they hinting Clarence Thomas should retire next year? Anyone think they are serious?

Well, they said you can't do it during a "presidential" election but can during any other?

Usually they don't tell a lie on something that important unless there's a well-thought out purpose to the lie. I'm trying to figure out what they are trying to accomplish by saying that.

Thomas has wanted out for a long time. Get some younger partisan hack to take his place?

any nominee would go through their committee, if the Republicans still have a majority.

I find the Tooth Fairy to be a more credible story than anything told by a Republican Senator.
