Why Republicans are so good at media manipulation?
They know they own the media.
Whatever they say will not be scrutinized to the same extent as what a Democrat might say. As an example, if people acted the same at Democratic rallies (Lock him up!) etc, it would receive much more critical attention from the media. It seems to be "baked in" to the nature of the Republican Party.
But, the primary reason that the media treats Republicans differently is that the "media" is part of the same class as Republican leaders. It is part of their business portfolio. "Liberal media" is a myth that always is used with negative connotations. If they were as dangerous as Republicans preach, they would have the power to counter those charges. They don't.
So they are permitted to manipulate stories and to put their spin on Democratic policies and comments, usually without any perspective.
In the end, it is the American people, primarily Republican voters, that are the targets of the manipulation.
