I just saw A Star Is Born.

This iteration is getting a much better reception than the Streisand-Kristofferson iteration. I support artists like Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga who support us so I made a small contribution to the box office for the movie.

Not only can Lady Gaga sing she can act and not only can Bradley Cooper act he can sing.

11. I saw it yesterday and loved it

A really finely made movie. Cooper's directorial debut and he hits it out of the park. Plus great music, much of it written by Lady G and Cooper. I think there will be some Oscar nominations coming out of it.

19. Re: the music, don't forget Lukas Nelson, Willie's son...

He wrote/co-wrote almost all of the songs, and he and his band performed in the movie and soundtrack. He and Lady Gaga are close friends. Lukas himself is a star already born and poised to shine brightly

13. I'm going to see it Wednesday.

For me, it's going to be hard to beat the Streisand/Kristofferson version. I can't see Cooper as a beat up, alcoholic, has been musician. He's too damn pretty.

And Streisand's voice is so perfect. I've never been a fan of Lady Gaga.

But I'm willing to give it a shot and see.

Lady Gaga’s voice and the songs were great.
Bradley Cooper is way too pretty to have that scraggly beard on.
Basically just another love story about a drunk who can’t get sober.

17. I just saw it today too.

Cooper looked good when he was supposed to look good and he looked awful when he was supposed to look awful. I've never been a fan of Lady Gaga, but she was great in this movie. The music is wonderful. I'm planning on seeing it again Sunday with another friend who hasn't seen it yet

20. We saw it on Saturday. It was very good. We saw Lady Gaga with Tony Bennett at the Holywood Bowl a

couple of years ago. I have been a fan of hers for a long while and the movie brings her close up and right into your awareness for a long number of minutes.

22. I have only seen the 1954 version w/ Judy Garland and James Mason, which I thought

was very good. There are now versions in total. I'd like to see them all to compare.
