(8,733 posts)Be careful about the age thing, we have a lot of Democrats in the House and Senate that are just as long in the tooth.
In fact, as an average, Democrats are older than republicans in both the House and Senate.
I have no problem with experience and seniority but we have significant problem developing in our Party in a significant deficit of new, younger, talent in the pipeline.
That will start to become a much more pressing issue in the next 6-10 years. As good as it is to have their experience and talent, we have to think of tomorrow, not just today.

(6,044 posts)exciting and fascinating people, some are quirky and proud of it. Others quiet and more conventional-but all come up with ideas and concepts that amaze me.
They tend to be egalitarian and accepting of others.
The Republicans I know who are of the same age mostly seem either subdued and less free or also they are the type that have long lists of complaints about other people-Sean Hannity seems to have taken up residence in their brains. I notice that lately however, they have stopped telling me climate change is a liberal plot against the country.
