But that would take a constitutional amendment.

12. Poorly worded

I wanted to convey the idea of proposing either a constitutional amendment or, at least a law, that explicitly guarantees the independence of the Justice Department from direct or even indirect interference from any and all subjects of a criminal investigation, including and especially a sitting president.

6. Certainly the investigation or supplemental back ground check done on Kavanaugh

Certainly the investigation or supplemental back ground check done on Kavanaugh was putting the FBI into a position of helping a political agenda and they complied.

I want the next Democratic president to have every damn text message from every FBI agent checked for bias and fired if there is any.

Im getting tired of this 1 side BS.

If your Dem leader is going to be nice and always take the high road.. I would not vote for them. Get somebody in that will fight back.

7. Where would you put it?

There are three constitutional branches of government: legislative, executive and judicial. The FBI doesn't have a lawmaking function or a judicial function (it enforces the laws but neither makes nor interprets them), but is a division of a federal agency, and all federal agencies are part of the executive branch. The problem isn't the manner of organization; it's who's trying to call the shots. The solution is to get Trump out of the executive branch.

Stop trying to use it to "show them" . Stop wasting it on loser candidates like the green party candidates . Stop declining to vote because you think you can call your pols and demand they stop legislation . Stop making excuses for why you cant vote. Learn your polling places and get an acceptable form of id . Understand your polling places and your registration could chnge at anytime . Learn provisional ballot procedures . Learn to whom you can turn if you are challenged at the voting booth.

Which I've always thought would be a good idea, but only if the OC were truly incorruptible and impartial, and that would be hard to ensure.

14. But what would happen when the FBI gained too much power?

It could only take a few years before everyone in and out of government is afraid of them. No doubt about it Trump is an asshole. But I like our system of checks and balances the way it is. Trump will be gone in about two years. And just maybe people will know better than to vote (R) for a while.
