1) Theres been a lot of handwringing in the media pundit corps and centrist politicians these days about the loss of comity, post-Kavanaugh. And then Donald Trump made them all look absurd with his remarks at his rally last night.

(8,285 posts)When Kim and Trump were trading insults and "joking" about use of nuclear weapons, I literally heard "conservatives" say NK can nuke Hawaii and California to get rid of the liberals.
When California was fighting to extinguish the wildfires, the governor asked for federal aid. I heard many conservatives say "liberal California" shouldn't get anything as they disobey federal law (referring to immigration law), and how they suck up all the tax dollars to pay for their welfare citizens and "illegals."
This... coming from people that have the nerve to call themselves "patriots." That is appalling and disgusting to me. They would be willing to let an enemy to the United States attack the homeland to get rid American citizens that happen to have different political stances????? They're not willing to put away their partisanship to provide aid to the state that houses the largest amount of American citizens????? Self-proclaimed patriots?????
