Seneca Falls Convention 1848-first women's rights convention-type of reaction

In a newspaper report the male author asked the most importamt question--If women had polical rights, who would fix the dinner? Who would take care of the house, the children?

As I recall, his 1st concern was for his meal.

(The article was in a 2 volume work used in a workshp 'The Woman Problem:1750-1950. I don't remember the work's title, the workshop was in 1992.)
